Pakistani actress Reema Khan is embroiled in controversy after being accused of multimillion-rupee fraud by Shahid Rafique, a man who claims to have invested in her 2011 film Love Mein Ghum.

Rafique, a Qatar-based professional, alleged that he was approached in 2009 by Reema’s sister, Maira Khan, who encouraged him to invest in the film while assuring substantial profits.

He claims to have met Reema personally before transferring funds but accuses the actress and her sister of refusing to deliver on their promises.

Speaking in a video, Rafique stated that despite financing the film and receiving assurances of returns, he was later asked for additional payments.

He alleges that after demanding his investment back, Reema signed an agreement but failed to return the money.

The dispute has been ongoing for over four years, with the case allegedly delayed in court. Rafique maintains that he possesses evidence to support his claims and has called on Reema to face the legal process.

Social media users have largely expressed sympathy for Rafique, urging him to intensify legal efforts. Meanwhile, Reema has faced mounting criticism, with calls for accountability.

The actress has not yet publicly addressed the allegations. The case has reignited discussions about celebrity ethics and the risks associated with investment in the film industry.
