The second season finale of Mirzapur left fans reeling with a mix of shocking character deaths, close calls, and shifting loyalties in the heated battle for Mirzapur’s gaddi.
The chaos began when Maqbool, Kaleen Bhaiya’s trusted aide, confronted Bauji (Kulbhushan Kharbanda) at gunpoint, only for Beena (Rasika Dugal) to exact a brutal revenge for all that she’s gone through in the past.
Now, the question remains: will Maqbool align with Guddu Bhaiya or support Beena in securing the throne for her son?
Next, the climactic shootout saw Guddu and Golu launch an assault on Kaleen Bhaiya and Munna Bhaiya completely blindsiding them and resulting in Munna’s death. Munna Tripathi, lovingly called Munna Bhaiyya is the fan favourite, so his death upset fans as he probably won’t be seen in the season ahead.

Kaleen Bhaiya, however, managed to escape with the help of Sharad Shukla, who had been introduced in season two as his adversary. Sharad’s actions raise many questions: why did he save Kaleen Bhaiya, refrain from intervening in the deadly conflict, and spare Guddu, who had killed his father? His true motives and shifting allegiances are mysteries fans hope will be unravelled in the upcoming season.
Guddu Bhaiya now claims the throne of Mirzapur, but Golu also emerges as a formidable contender. Will she challenge Guddu for the powerful gaddi, maybe that’s something viewers need to watch out for?
Meanwhile, a shootout involving Dadda (Lilliput), Bharat (Vijay Varma), Shatrughan (also played by Vijay Varma), and Mama (Shrikant Verma) leads to the deaths of Mama and Bharat. However, a twist in the post-credits scene reveals that it was actually Shatrughan who was killed, not Bharat, who then assumed Shatrughan’s identity to avenge his brother’s death from Golu, only to discover her true intentions.

In the midst of this turmoil, Guddu’s law-abiding father, Ramakant Pandit (Rajesh Tailang), kills police officer RS Maurya (Amit Sial) to protect his son. While he contemplates surrendering after the act, his future remains uncertain. Will he become what he once fought against, or remain true to his principles?
The answers await when the third season premieres on July 5 on Prime Video.
Another lingering mystery is the identity of Robin, portrayed by Priyanshu Painyuli. Briefly glimpsed in the season 3 trailer, Robin is not just Guddu’s sister’s love interest.
What is his connection to the Pandits, and does he have hidden motives?
In Mirzapur, every character has a purpose and ulterior motive to watch out for!
